Back to School Wreath

It won't be long until I hear the school bus roaring through our neighborhood! Today, I made a wreath for our door to get the kids in the spirit of "Back to School!" This is a big year for Boomer as he heads off to Kindergarten (yes, I have bought my box of tissues)... I went to Michael's today with a 40% off coupon and purchased the wreath form (green foam), and and unfinished frame. I had the following: black polka dot fabric, red acrylic paint, red felt, and white ribbon. You will need to cut the fabric in 1 inch wide strips and wrap and hot glue the fabric around the wreath form. I painted the unfinished frame red and as it dried I was able to wrap the wreath with the fabric. I printed the "Back to School" on cardstock paper (my front door is protected so I don't have to worry too much about the fading). Next, I made the "banner" by hot gluing white ribbon across the fabric covered wreath. Then, I cut red triangles from the felt and hot glued them over the ribbon. I had the red felt flowers already made so I attached three of them across the top. Happy Back to School!!!!
