The Mr. has cooked dinner for the past two nights. The first night... YUMMY Calzones (they weren't around long enough for pictures). The second night... He made boneless spareribs and a recipe he created: Korean purses (yes, I know that isn't Chinese!). We added some of my "make ahead freezer meals" which included my homemade egg rolls and fried rice. No need for take out when you have a spare freezer in the garage! Goosie ate a ton and Boomer... well, we're working on him!
I have had this recipe in my favorites for about 6 months now and finally decided to make it for us to take on our vacation for a snack. The recipe is for Cran Crackle Bars. As you will see, it is from the Better Homes and Gardens website. I had made our other granola bar recipe so much that the kids needed a break. Although, this one is not as healthy. I am going to experiment with something other than the Corn Syrup... not something I like for my kids to have... maybe honey instead. Enjoy!
I have found this new site... The Party Dress. I can't get enough of the ideas on this site. I have been working my way through the website and the ideas are amazing... I'm ready for a baby shower, wedding shower, farmhouse brunch... you name it and I have the source! Check it out... you're entertaining will become amazing!
High winds and rain are on our plate this morning... figuratively, of course ;). It has been raining really hard but at least it isn't snow like some of our Midwestern neighbors seem to be getting these past few days. I cannot wait for the days of chasing the kids on their bikes! Long evenings in the backyard are a favorite of mine as well. We have some big projects ahead of us here at the Goosie and Boomer house. But, this week... we will simply muddle through with appointments and errands! Hello, Monday. Thanks for the reality check!
I am back in Physical Therapy... oh the joys ;) Actually, this time shouldn't be too bad. They are trying to rebuild strength in my right hand, mostly. The fusion is complete but for some reason there is a lot of weakness and some other issues coming to surface. We see yet another doctor next week and I have high hopes for some answers. I am hoping for a Doctor free Summer!!!!
We hope you had a great St. Patrick's Day! I know we did! We were so fortunate to have dinner with our neighbors. Two corned beef and cabbages, green dip, homemade applesauce, midori sours, and tons of laughs! Did you catch a leprachaun? Goosie looked for one all day yesterday ;)
It seems as though I should get back to this thing called blogging!!! I have had tons of hits this week! WOW! I'm excited and flattered... although I lost a follower it seems... very sad. Boomer's room makeover is nearly finished so I will be posting those pictures soon! It seems as though yet another Snapfish order has arrived damaged so his photographs will not be up for another week! All is well here in Goosie and Boomer land. I have been getting hairbow orders and I love it! I love doing special orders for wonderful people! The Mr. and I have been working on Boomer's "big boy" room for the past weeks. The Mr. went back to work and life is resuming itself! Love to all! Keep stopping by and join as a follower... we love company!
I wanted to share with you 5 daily blogs or sites that I read daily. I will do five more next week, also.

I hope you enjoy any one of these... I have to say that Stephanie Nielson and CJane are top reads for me!
Boomer the day the Mr. returned from Iraq... he wanted to wear his Hero hat to the airport.
The Mr. has been home for a little over a week now and I have to say... it has been WONDERFUL. I know I have probably been frustrating him because I went from doing everything to having to hand over some duties. I am trying REALLY hard with this transition. Not to mention, he came home and we were thrust into buying a car. This is not my favorite thing to do at all!
To top it off, I got a cold. Ugh! At least it is warming up a bit outside so any change in the weather for the best is a good one! Love to all!
I have the copyrights to all of my photos. For more information about Hilary Rondeau Photography... please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org And remember, if you would like to use any photos, links, etc. on this blog... always give credit where credit is due. Thank you for stopping by!
I am a stay-at-home mom of two beautiful children... yes, I am biased... I can be... they are mine! Oh, and a military wife, too, to an amazing husband! I was a teacher of the severely emotionally disturbed for nearly 10 years before I became a mother and made the decision to stay home. No longer having the classroom as a creative outlet, I turned to photography, cake decorating, and now bow creations. I was frustrated with some of the options available as far as the price of photography (my first love) and so I began taking photographs of my children and a few clients as well. You will see more than bows showcased on this blog and I hope you enjoy the creations and become inspired as well. And, yes, Goosie and Boomer are the nicknames of my two favorite creations!
