Well... it was our 3rd ballet recital in the life of Goosie. It was wonderful! She smiles/No, BEAMS on stage. I love watching every second of her life. I love her excitement, curiosity, and beauty. I'm so fortunate to have resilient children!
Our sweet neighbor had a birthday this past weekend. I was so lucky to celebrate it with her and another dear friend. I have to say... I have GREAT neighbors! We sat on the patio with Mai Tai's, snacks and cake and sun! Mrs. Tricia loves the sun and fun so I had an excuse to make the "flip flop" cake! Happy Birthday, Mrs. Tricia!
Pizza that is... a weekly tradition to yank that heavy baking stone from the cabinet and warm it in a cold oven. I'm totally addicted and the Mr. swears there is no other pizza for him. The kid's version: pepperoni and mozzerella The adult version: chicken, basil, and goat cheese I'll be back after I find a napkin!
This tutu is going for a very special cause!!! I'm so excited to donate a tutu set for dear friends of ours that we admire so very much! Our friend Jay is a 3+ year survivor of cancer. He and his wife, Jessica, recently completed a marathon in San Diego!!!! To help support their endeavor they are having a "Trivia Night" so here is the latest tutu that is going to be auctioned to support all their hard work!!!
Well... I have decided that it's time to start the food journal, again. I need some accountability so I'm writing down everything I eat and drink. I've lost 3.5 pounds this week so far. Plus, I'm tracking my exercise. I have been a bit lazy in that department as well. We are looking into the Mediterranean diet. It is supposed to help RA patients. I have noticed an increase in "flares" when I eat carbs so let's hope this transition works. Last nights dinner was so yummy!!! Sauteed chicken and mushrooms over a bed of lettuce and couscous surrounded by fresh cucumbers. I could eat like this everyday!
I bounced back rather quickly from this week's dose of methotrexate. I believe the reason why is because the Mr. was home and I gave in and simply rested. I have a tutu to finish for a wonderful auction/trivia night we are attending soon! I hope it sells as well as the one I did for Goosie's school!! It goes for a great cause and great people!!!
We did tons of landscaping this week. I get the weekend off since the Mr. is working the entire weekend... never thought I'd be happy that he's working and the projects are delayed :). It's Friday and I get to clean the three toilets and a few tubs and showers... and... fulfill a tutu order. Which means, making fun for a little girl!

I am a stay-at-home mom of two beautiful children... yes, I am biased... I can be... they are mine! Oh, and a military wife, too, to an amazing husband! I was a teacher of the severely emotionally disturbed for nearly 10 years before I became a mother and made the decision to stay home. No longer having the classroom as a creative outlet, I turned to photography, cake decorating, and now bow creations. I was frustrated with some of the options available as far as the price of photography (my first love) and so I began taking photographs of my children and a few clients as well. You will see more than bows showcased on this blog and I hope you enjoy the creations and become inspired as well. And, yes, Goosie and Boomer are the nicknames of my two favorite creations!
