Before and After... mirror

Well... the mirror was broken but no worries! It was easily transformed into a message board. To be honest, I think it worked out for the best because Goosie has been making all types of messages and notes and displaying them in her room! All is well... and hopefully, superstition is WRONG! (I forgot to take a picture of the original mirror... it was gold and not so pretty)

Working our way through it...

(the pictures above are the desk and chair we bought at consignment with the horrible paint job someone had done to them... the white is the primer that was needed to cover it)
We are slowly completing Goosie's room redecorating! I'm tired and ready for it to be done but I want things to be done correctly! Her new desk and chair are painted and we are going to paint some stripes in her room today. Pink, black and white... should be easy enough, right?

The Transformation Begins...

We are beginning the transformation of Goosie's room... she wants a fancy Paris themed room. I'm not much for themes but she is so excited. We found some items at an antique/furniture consignment shop (along with many new items) that we are beginning to "refurbish" for her room. This weekend will be painting!
Here is a frame that we primed with Krylon gray primer and then Krylon black gloss. It was a very ugly gold before we started (I forgot to take a before picture). Now, we have a desk and chair to do next! And... put the mirror back in the frame ;)

Beautiful Ballerina

Well... it was our 3rd ballet recital in the life of Goosie. It was wonderful! She smiles/No, BEAMS on stage. I love watching every second of her life. I love her excitement, curiosity, and beauty. I'm so fortunate to have resilient children!

Cake... YUM!

Our sweet neighbor had a birthday this past weekend. I was so lucky to celebrate it with her and another dear friend. I have to say... I have GREAT neighbors! We sat on the patio with Mai Tai's, snacks and cake and sun! Mrs. Tricia loves the sun and fun so I had an excuse to make the "flip flop" cake! Happy Birthday, Mrs. Tricia!
